Counselling
The Greystones Family Resource Centre aims to provide a low-cost professional and quality counselling service to members of the wider Greystones community.

Counselling involves talking to a counsellor about your concerns or worries. Counsellors are trained to listen sympathetically and can support you to cope with negative thoughts or feelings. Anybody from Greystones, Kilcoole, Delgany or Newtownmountkennedy who would like to access low-cost counselling can contact the centre.
Intake
All requests/referrals for counselling go to the GFRC coordinator. The coordinator will arrange a meeting with those seeking counselling to go through the service intake form. The intake form includes a brief summary of issues the person hopes to address through counselling. This will only be passed on to a counsellor with the person’s consent. The form also details the agreed fee to be paid per session.
Cost
Clients pay a donation of €20 towards the cost of each session. If cost is an issue, please discuss this with the coordinator, not the therapist.
Number of sessions
The centre is not in a position to fund ongoing counselling for individuals. Each person will be offered 12 sessions of counselling.
